Castiel is a deathcore/downtempo band from Klagenfurt, Austria, founded in 2014. Known for their bleak atmospheres, bone-crushing heaviness, and emotionally charged performances, Castiel quickly established themselves as a serious force within the heavy music underground.

Their EP “Khaos” (2025) is a six-track descent into psychological and existential collapse. With tracks like “The Corruption”, “The Void”, and “The Madness”, it explores themes of spiritual ruin, internal torment, and apocalyptic despair, while the closing song “The Light” strikes a defiant tone, offering resistance in the face of annihilation. Musically, Khaos pushes the boundaries of downtempo deathcore with massive breakdowns, haunting atmospheres, and moments of eerie melody — anchored by a sense of nihilism that is both crushing and cathartic.

In 2025, Castiel signed with Seek & Strike Records. In July 2026 they released their first EP under the label, All Returns to Hollow and Silence, expanding their sonic identity and pushing their sound to new extremes.
